Durham Wildlife Trust are working with Durham County Council and Sunderland City Council to develop a landscape scale project which will make a significant contribution to the quality of the natural environment as well as encouraging people to access and enjoy greenspaces around Lumley Park Burn catchment.
The first stage in the development of this project is to find out what people think about their local greenspaces, parks, woodlands and river corridors and how they currently use them. Face to face consultation was planned but this is currently on hold. Therefore an online survey has been put together and members of the public are invited to complete a questionnaire. Hopefully at some point, face to face consultation will be undertaken.
Part of the project area falls within the area of Seaton with Slingley and they would welcome feedback from local residents. The link below provides access to their website and background information. This is a large scale project and will take a number of years to develop. If you would like further information please email Anne Gladwin, Grants Officer at Durham Wildlife Trust email@example.com or telephone 0191 584 3112.
